Description

Mtskheta is a spiritual center of Georgia and Heritage Site of UNESCO. Settlement here counts back to centuries BC.

The city of Mtskheta, which is closely connected with the formation of Georgian culture, is often described by historiography as the “eternal city”. Probably because of the eternity of the city here are more than 200 architectural monuments and no information about their creation has reached us.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari (Cross) monastery are mesmerizing with its architecture, history, legends and famous views over two rivers – Mtkvari and Aragvi.
